I worked with Better Bookkeeping on tax planning and return preparation. My experience involved multiple material issues, including a PTE-related issue that delayed the expected tax benefit and a later return-preparation issue in which transfers of cash were treated as income, materially overstating taxable income and resulting in a six-figure overpayment. A separate CPA had to amend the return. Better Bookkeeping refunded their fees, which I appreciate, but the process required significant additional time and cost to unwind.
