I am leaving this review because Orchard Accounting worked on my books without my consent, without proper oversight, and caused significant financial harm. I hired a completely different firm, CPA On Fire, based on representations of CPA oversight and e-commerce expertise. I was never told my accounting would be outsourced to Orchard Accounting, never agreed to hire them, and never authorized them to handle my books independently. Despite this, Orchard Accounting worked on my QuickBooks with minimal communication, failed to answer basic questions, and never properly reconciled my Shopify data, which is the core system of my business. There was no reliable Shopify to QuickBooks integration and no accurate handling of revenue, refunds, fees, shipping, subscriptions, inventory, or loans. As a result, my 2024 and 2025 financials were materially wrong. Monthly profit and loss statements did not match Shopify. Categories were misclassified. Loans were treated incorrectly. The work product was unusable. I repeatedly asked for clarification, documentation, and explanations. My questions were ignored. Reports were changed after the fact without explanation. No one demonstrated an understanding of e-commerce accounting at a competent level. I am now paying another firm thousands of dollars to undo and repair the damage caused here, in addition to late fees and tax risk created by inaccurate books. I did not hire Orchard Accounting. I did not approve Orchard Accounting. Yet they were involved in my business and left it worse than before. Based on my experience, I strongly caution any business owner, especially an e-commerce or Shopify-based business, to avoid this firm.
