Sam's List Community: 10 Most Reviewed Financial Advisors, September 2026

A review can tell you what it was like to work with an advisor. It cannot tell you whether the advice was sound, and it says nothing about investment results.

Keep that limit in mind. These are the 10 most reviewed financial advisors among the 94 firms in the Sam's List community, all vetted Sam's List members, ranked by the number of client reviews on each profile on September 30, 2026. An advisor needed a rating of 4.0 or higher and at least two reviews to qualify.

A place here is free, and paid features elsewhere on Sam's List play no part in it. Browse financial advisors on Sam's List. How we picked is at the end.

Ratings and review counts are as shown on each firm's Sam's List profile on September 30, 2026. Each review is submitted by an individual who identifies as a client of the firm, and reviews reflect those individual experiences; they are not an endorsement by Sam's List. No firm paid to be considered for or included in this list. Ratings and rankings are not indicative of future performance or results.

Sam's List compiled this list; no regulator reviewed or approved it. It ranks advisors only by the number of client reviews on Sam's List as of September 30, 2026, and it says nothing about investment performance. Before hiring an advisor, check their registration and any disciplinary history at adviserinfo.sec.gov or brokercheck.finra.org.

The list

Each entry uses only what the advisor's Sam's List profile showed on September 30, 2026: the state served, the specialties it names, its tagline, its rating and review count, and at most one quote from a reviewer who identifies as a client, shown exactly as on the profile, with an ellipsis where the site shortens a long review. Nothing here describes investment performance, returns or fees, and specialties are the advisors' own claims. See the reviews disclosure for more on how reviews work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often is this list updated?

Every month. A new edition publishes on the first Monday of each month and is named for the month before. From the October 2026 edition on, the lists rank firms by the reviews they gained since the previous edition's data date, and each edition states the dates it covers.

Can firms pay to be included?

No. Listing on Sam's List is free, and so is a place on this list, which is ranked only by reviews. Some firms pay to be featured elsewhere on Sam's List; that has no effect on who appears here or in what order.

How do I check a financial advisor's registration?

Search the advisor's name or firm at adviserinfo.sec.gov, the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site, and at brokercheck.finra.org, FINRA's BrokerCheck. Both are free and show registration and any reported disciplinary history. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training, and neither site ranks or recommends advisors.

Does a high review count mean an advisor is right for me?

No. A review count shows how many reviews clients chose to write about their experience on Sam's List. It says nothing about investment performance, and it cannot tell you whether an advisor's services, credentials or way of working fit your situation. Use it to build a shortlist, then check registration, ask how the advisor is paid, and meet more than one advisor before deciding.

How we picked the most reviewed financial advisors

The pool. These lists rank the 94 firms in the Sam's List community, 27 of them financial advisors, all vetted Sam's List members with a live public profile. Sam's List also lists firms outside the community, and these lists do not rank them, so this is not a ranking of every financial advisor on Sam's List. Membership on Sam's List is not a substitute for checking an advisor's registration yourself.

The thresholds. An advisor needed a rating of 4.0 or higher and at least two reviews on September 30, 2026. Eleven of the 27 qualified.

The order. Advisors are ranked by the total review count each profile showed on September 30, 2026, then by rating, then alphabetically by name. Counts include every review each profile showed on September 30, 2026, whenever it was posted. Every advisor here shows a 5.0 rating, so the ties at 10, 8 and 3 reviews were settled by name. The last place went on rating after a tie: an eleventh qualifying advisor also showed two reviews, with a lower rating than Capital Area Planning Group's 5.0.

What the numbers mean. Financial advisor reviews on Sam's List are submitted by individuals who identify as clients of the firm and rate it on communication, subject-matter knowledge, and overall satisfaction. A count shows how many reviews clients wrote, not how many clients an advisor has; it does not measure investment skill, performance or fit, and it can lag for an advisor newer to Sam's List.

Payment. Listing on Sam's List is free, and so is a place on this list. Some firms pay to be featured elsewhere on Sam's List, and that has no effect on who appears here or in what order.
