Sam's List Community: 10 Most Reviewed Accountants, September 2026

All 10 firms below show a 5.0 rating on Sam's List, so the rating does not separate them. The number of client reviews does, and it runs from 31 down to 5.

These are the 10 most reviewed accountants among the 94 firms in the Sam's List community as of September 30, 2026, bookkeepers included. The method in one line: firms rated 4.0 or higher with at least 2 reviews, ranked by total reviews, then rating, then name. Every firm is a vetted Sam's List member and a place on the list is free. How we picked, at the end, has the full method. To compare more firms, browse accountants on Sam's List.

Ratings and review counts are as shown on each firm's Sam's List profile on September 30, 2026. Each review is submitted by an individual who identifies as a client of the firm, and reviews reflect those individual experiences; they are not an endorsement by Sam's List. No firm paid to be considered for or included in this list. Ratings and rankings are not indicative of future performance or results.

The list

Each write-up below uses only what the firm's Sam's List profile showed on September 30, 2026: its rating and review count, the state it serves, the specialties it lists, its tagline and its featured reviews.

1. Good Operator

Good Operator has more reviews than any other firm in this edition: 31, with a 5.0 rating. Its profile says it serves California, and it lists digital nomads, K1 partnership income and professional service firms as its specialties. The tagline is "Accounting & Finance for Cash Flow MACHINES", and the capitals are theirs.

Lorin H. wrote: "It has been a long process with substantial incremental progress along the way, and I can't imagine where we would be without Good Operator's guidance and resources." That review is candid that progress took time, so ask any firm what the first few months will look like. See Good Operator on Sam's List.

2. RK Partners

RK Partners follows with 28 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves New York. Its tagline says it helps CPAs and clients claim additional R&D tax credits they are eligible for, and it lists SMB owners and VC backed startups as its specialties.

Eric T. wrote: "RK Partners have been amazing to work with. I've referred them to numerous friends who have also been happy with their service." A narrow focus is the point and also the limit. A credit claim rests on your records, so ask what documentation the firm will need and whether anything beyond the credit is in scope. See RK Partners on Sam's List.

3. Ottit

Ottit completes the three firms with more than 20 reviews: 24, with a 5.0 rating. Its profile says it serves California, and its full name spells out accounting, bookkeeping and controllership for fast-growth e-commerce, SaaS and SMB operators. The specialties it lists are HENRYs (high earners, not rich yet), high net worth individuals and SMB owners.

Mason R. wrote: "My experience through the onboarding process was smooth and comprehensive. They made me feel confident I didn’t have to micromanage and could truly rest knowing it is being handled to a higher degree than I could myself,…" Onboarding is only the start; ask what month six looks like. See Ottit on Sam's List.

4. Prophet Accounting LLC

The counts halve after Ottit. Prophet Accounting LLC has 12 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves Florida. Its tagline is plain about the work: "Bookkeeping and financial reporting for solopreneurs and service-based businesses." The specialties it lists, SMB owners and solopreneurs, point the same way.

If you run a service business on your own, that reads like a fit on paper, and paper is as far as a profile goes. Twelve reviews is a real sample but well short of the firms above it, so read what reviewers say the firm did and ask for a sample report before you sign. See Prophet Accounting LLC on Sam's List.

5. Legal Ease Bookkeeping

Legal Ease Bookkeeping is the one firm here in the bookkeeper category on Sam's List, with 9 reviews and a 5.0 rating. Its profile says it serves Texas and lists SMB owners and solopreneurs as its specialties, and its tagline aims at law firms that need accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

Ben D. wrote: "Our experience has been terrific from the start. Legal Ease has grown with us. We get weekly updates to make sure all our expenses are categorized correctly, constant communication from our team lead, and peace of mind t…" Bookkeeping is not tax preparation, so ask who files your returns. See Legal Ease Bookkeeping on Sam's List.

6. Blackbird Tax Services

Blackbird Tax Services has 8 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves Massachusetts. It lists cryptocurrency investors, digital nomads and HENRYs (high earners, not rich yet) as its specialties, and its tagline reads "A responsive tax firm that's here for you, no matter how big or small."

Rose D. wrote: "Excellent. I would definitely recommend them. They were knowledgeable and very patient with all of the questions I had. They were also very thorough and I felt immediately that I was in good hands." Eight reviews is a small sample, so bring your own questions to the first call. See Blackbird Tax Services on Sam's List.

7. OLarry

OLarry and the next firm are level at 7 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and the alphabet puts OLarry first. Its profile says it serves California. It lists cryptocurrency investors, digital nomads and equity compensation as its specialties, and its tagline pitches private client tax strategy for emerging wealth and high net worth individuals.

Zach B. wrote: "OLarry is the accounting platform I have wished for since what feels like the beginning of time. They strike an excellent balance between personal touch and technology and truly make you feel like their only client throu…" Tax strategy depends on the facts you bring, so have any equity grant and crypto records ready. See OLarry on Sam's List.

8. Russell Monteith CPA PLLC

Russell Monteith CPA PLLC also has 7 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves New York. Its tagline describes a "tax services firm specializing in complex tax compliance and strategic planning for individuals and small businesses." It lists digital nomads, HENRYs and high net worth individuals as its specialties.

James W. wrote: "Russell has been reliable, organized, and incredibly helpful for complex individual tax prep challenges. He remediated my years of overcontributions to a Roth IRA account to prevent later penalties. This was a complex pr…" With a sample this small, ask who will prepare and review your return. See Russell Monteith CPA PLLC on Sam's List.

9. Crypto Tax Made Easy

Crypto Tax Made Easy has 6 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves New Jersey. Its tagline sets the tone: "We are an aspirin for your crypto tax headache." It lists cryptocurrency investors, digital nomads and high net worth individuals as its specialties.

Kevin G. wrote: "Crypto taxes are notoriously difficult, especially dating back to 2021 when infrastructure was not that advanced. They've done a great job of sorting through everything and working with me when I found discrepancies to g…" Cleanup like that is only as good as the records behind it, so gather your exchange and wallet histories first. See Crypto Tax Made Easy on Sam's List.

10. Lemoti

Lemoti closes the list with 5 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves Florida. It lists cryptocurrency investors, e-commerce businesses and HENRY (high earners not rich yet) as its specialties, and its tagline pitches paying less tax, better bookkeeping and improved cash flow.

Nicholas B. wrote: "Lemoti helped us with granular asset management accounting and tax strategy for our firms CRE portfolio. Great communication and highly knowledgeable in the space". Five reviews is the smallest sample on this list, and no firm can promise a lower tax bill before it has seen your numbers, so ask what the first look at your books would cover. See Lemoti on Sam's List.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often is this list updated?

Every month. A new edition publishes on the first Monday of each month and is named for the month before. From the October 2026 edition on, the lists rank firms by the reviews they gained since the previous edition's data date, and each edition states the dates it covers.

Can firms pay to be included?

No. Listing on Sam's List is free, and so is a place on this list, which is ranked only by reviews. Some firms pay to be featured elsewhere on Sam's List; that has no effect on who appears here or in what order.

How much should accountant reviews count when you choose a firm?

Use them to build a shortlist, not to make the decision. A review count shows how often clients took the time to write about a firm, and the text shows what they valued. Neither measures technical quality, credentials or fit with your situation. Read the reviews themselves, ask each firm who would do your work, and confirm any license it claims before you engage it.

Why is a bookkeeping firm on a list of accountants?

Because this edition covers accountants and bookkeepers together, and Legal Ease Bookkeeping, listed as a bookkeeper on Sam's List, qualified on the same thresholds as every other firm. The list says accountants rather than CPAs because CPA is a licensed title and this list does not check licenses. If you need a CPA, ask the firm and confirm the license with your state board of accountancy.

How we picked the most reviewed accountants

The short answer: the pool is the 94 firms in the Sam's List community, all vetted Sam's List members with public profiles, 40 of them accountants or bookkeepers. Sam's List also lists firms outside the community, and these lists do not rank them, so this is not a ranking of every accountant on Sam's List, let alone in the country. On September 30, 2026, 17 of those 40 had a rating of 4.0 or higher and at least 2 reviews on a live profile, and this list shows the first 10 in the order below.

The order. Total reviews first, then rating, then name. All 10 firms show a 5.0 rating, so review count set the order, and OLarry and Russell Monteith CPA PLLC, level on both counts, appear alphabetically. The last place went the same way: three qualifying firms showed 5 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and alphabetical order put Lemoti on the list.

What the numbers mean. Ratings and counts are taken from each profile as it appeared on September 30, 2026, and they change as clients add reviews. Counts include every review each profile showed on September 30, 2026, whenever it was posted. A review count measures volume, how many reviews clients wrote, not how many clients a firm has or how good its work is, and a firm with 5 reviews is not automatically weaker than one with 31. Quotes are verbatim from the reviews each profile shows, cut where the profile cuts them, with reviewers named by first name and last initial.

Payment. Listing on Sam's List is free, and so is a place on this list. Some firms pay to be featured elsewhere on Sam's List, Crypto Tax Made Easy and Legal Ease Bookkeeping among those on this list, and that has no effect on who appears here, in what order or what we write about them. For more on reviews, see the reviews disclosure.

If you are choosing a firm now, read the reviews on the profiles above and compare more firms on the Sam's List accountants page.
