Sam's List Community: 10 Most Reviewed Finance Pros, September 2026
Sam's List Editorial | 2026-10-19
8 Figure Finance has 33 reviews, two more than Good Operator and the most in this edition. Nine of the ten firms below show a 5.0 rating, so review count does the sorting.
These are the 10 most reviewed finance pros among the 94 firms in the Sam's List community as of September 30, 2026: accountants, fractional CFOs and one financial advisor. The method: firms rated 4.0 or higher with at least 2 reviews, ranked by total reviews, then rating, then name. Every firm is a vetted Sam's List member and a place on the list is free. How we picked, at the end, has the full method. Browse every category in the Sam's List directory.

Ratings and review counts are as shown on each firm's Sam's List profile on September 30, 2026. Each review is submitted by an individual who identifies as a client of the firm, and reviews reflect those individual experiences; they are not an endorsement by Sam's List. No firm paid to be considered for or included in this list. Ratings and rankings are not indicative of future performance or results.
Sam's List compiled this list; no regulator reviewed or approved it. It ranks advisors only by the number of client reviews on Sam's List as of September 30, 2026, and it says nothing about investment performance. Before hiring an advisor, check their registration and any disciplinary history at adviserinfo.sec.gov or brokercheck.finra.org.
The list
Each write-up draws only on the firm's Sam's List profile as of September 30, 2026: rating, review count, the state it serves, the specialties it lists, its tagline and its featured reviews. Each write-up names the category the firm is listed under on Sam's List.
1. 8 Figure Finance
8 Figure Finance is listed as a fractional CFO on Sam's List, with 33 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves Pennsylvania. Its tagline calls it "the accounting and CFO firm built specifically for advertising and marketing agencies," and the specialties it lists are content creators, digital nomads and high net worth individuals.
Brandon P. wrote: "Working with 8FF was great. They did my work quickly and replied quickly. They offer a good service." That agency focus is the point and the limit: if you do not run an agency, ask how much of its client base looks like you. See 8 Figure Finance on Sam's List.
2. Good Operator
Good Operator, listed as an accountant, is two behind at 31 reviews, with a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves California. The full name on its profile reaches past accounting into finance, tax and fractional CFO work, and it lists digital nomads, K1 partnership income and professional service firms as its specialties.
Lorin H. wrote: "It has been a long process with substantial incremental progress along the way, and I can't imagine where we would be without Good Operator's guidance and resources." Note the "long process" in that review, and settle timing expectations with any firm before you start. See Good Operator on Sam's List.
3. RK Partners
RK Partners, also listed as an accountant, has 28 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves New York. Its profile name points to one line of work, R&D tax credits, and its tagline says it helps CPAs and clients claim the additional credits they are eligible for. The specialties it lists are SMB owners and VC backed startups.
Eric T. wrote: "RK Partners have been amazing to work with. I've referred them to numerous friends who have also been happy with their service." Credit work depends on your records, so ask up front what documentation a claim will need. See RK Partners on Sam's List.
4. Ottit
Ottit makes three accountants in a row, with 24 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves California. Its tagline calls it a full suite bookkeeping firm for fast-growth e-commerce, SaaS and SMB companies, and it lists HENRYs (high earners, not rich yet), high net worth individuals and SMB owners as specialties.
Mason R. wrote: "My experience through the onboarding process was smooth and comprehensive. They made me feel confident I didn’t have to micromanage and could truly rest knowing it is being handled to a higher degree than I could myself,…" Onboarding is the first month, not the tenth, so ask what the ongoing work includes. See Ottit on Sam's List.
5. Doug Johnson CPA
Doug Johnson CPA is listed as a fractional CFO, with 15 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves California. Its tagline: "A boutique CPA firm dedicated to responsiveness and a white-glove client experience." The specialties it lists are equity compensation, growing companies from $1M to $10M and HENRYs.
Wilson R. wrote: "My partner and I own a golf simulator business in NYC, and as we started to scale this year and think about opening a second location, we realized we needed a new firm that had experience working with growing businesses.…" A boutique is small by design, so ask who covers your account near deadlines. See Doug Johnson CPA on Sam's List.
6. Steady Co
Steady Co, another fractional CFO listing, is level with it at 15 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves Utah. Its tagline lists bookkeeping, accounting, tax, payroll and advisory services for small and medium-sized businesses and cites 30+ years of Big 4 and industry experience. The specialties it lists are cryptocurrency investors, HENRYs and high net worth individuals.
Neil S. wrote: "It started with just one company and then grew to more as they showed the ability to handle the books, financial questions, and proactive guidance." That experience figure is the firm's own claim, so ask who brings it and who will run your account. See Steady Co on Sam's List.
7. Iota Finance
Iota Finance, listed as a fractional CFO, has 14 reviews and a 4.8 rating, the one rating in this edition below 5.0. Its profile says it serves Florida, and its tagline is a straight description: "Monthly accounting, tax, and fractional CFO services for small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs." It lists cryptocurrency investors, digital nomads and equity compensation as its specialties.
Ankit G. wrote: "Great! They are fast and responsive. They get the work done." Read the reviews on its profile before you decide, and the same check is worth doing for every firm here. See Iota Finance on Sam's List.
8. Prophet Accounting LLC
Prophet Accounting LLC is listed as an accountant, with 12 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves Florida. Its tagline keeps it simple: "Bookkeeping and financial reporting for solopreneurs and service-based businesses." The specialties it lists are SMB owners and solopreneurs.
For a one-person service business, that is a direct match on paper. A profile cannot show you how the reporting will look for your business, so ask for a sample before you commit, and read what reviewers say the firm actually did. See Prophet Accounting LLC on Sam's List.
9. Ryan Johnson, CFP®, BFA™
Ryan Johnson is the one financial advisor on this list, with 12 reviews and a 5.0 rating. His profile says he serves Michigan and lists business executives, business owners/entrepreneurs and content creators as his specialties. The profile's tagline says the practice helps professionals and families simplify their finances.
A review count reflects how often clients chose to write about their experience. It says nothing about investment performance, and this list does not assess it. Before hiring any advisor, check registration and disciplinary history at adviserinfo.sec.gov or brokercheck.finra.org, and confirm the CFP® and BFA™ designations with the organizations that grant them. See Ryan Johnson on Sam's List.
10. Zhubrak Clark and Wasser CPAs and Advisors
Zhubrak Clark and Wasser CPAs and Advisors has 11 reviews and a 5.0 rating, and its profile says it serves New York. Its tagline names real estate GPs, growing commercial businesses and solopreneurs as its intended clients, and it lists growing companies from $1M to $10M, HENRYs and high net worth individuals as specialties.
Dani K. wrote: "Our experience was excellent from start to finish. The team consistently delivered accurate and timely reports, communicated proactively, and demonstrated a strong understanding of complex real estate accounting and repo…" The name says CPAs and advisors; the listing says fractional CFO. Ask what your engagement would include. See Zhubrak Clark and Wasser CPAs and Advisors on Sam's List.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often is this list updated?
Every month. A new edition publishes on the first Monday of each month and is named for the month before. From the October 2026 edition on, the lists rank firms by the reviews they gained since the previous edition's data date, and each edition states the dates it covers.
Can firms pay to be included?
No. Listing on Sam's List is free, and so is a place on this list, which is ranked only by reviews. Some firms pay to be featured elsewhere on Sam's List; that has no effect on who appears here or in what order.
Fractional CFO vs accountant vs financial advisor: which one do you need?
It depends on the problem you are solving. Broadly, an accountant handles bookkeeping, financial reporting and tax work; a fractional CFO gives a business part-time finance leadership, such as forecasting and cash planning; and a financial advisor works on personal investments and financial planning. The lines blur, and several firms on this list cross them, so read each profile and ask what an engagement includes.
How much should client reviews count when you choose a firm?
Use them to build a shortlist, not to make the decision. A review count shows how often clients took the time to write about a firm, and the text shows what they valued. Neither measures technical quality, credentials or fit, and for an advisor neither says anything about investment results. Read the reviews themselves and verify any license or registration before you engage anyone.
How we picked the most reviewed finance pros
The short answer: the pool is the 94 firms in the Sam's List community, all vetted Sam's List members with public profiles across accountants, bookkeepers, fractional CFOs and financial advisors. Sam's List also lists firms outside the community, and these lists do not rank them, so this is not a ranking of every finance professional on Sam's List, let alone in the country. On September 30, 2026, 40 of the 94 had a rating of 4.0 or higher and at least 2 reviews on a live profile, and this list shows the 10 with the most reviews.
The order. Total reviews first, then rating, then name. Review count set the order, apart from two pairs level on reviews and rating, which appear alphabetically: Doug Johnson CPA and Steady Co at 15, and Prophet Accounting LLC and Ryan Johnson at 12.
What the numbers mean. Ratings and counts are taken from each profile as it appeared on September 30, 2026, and they change as clients add reviews. Counts include every review each profile showed on September 30, 2026, whenever it was posted. A review count measures volume, how many reviews clients wrote, not how many clients a firm has or how good its work is, and for the financial advisor on this list it says nothing about investment performance. Quotes are verbatim from the reviews each profile shows, cut where the profile cuts them, with reviewers named by first name and last initial.
Payment. Listing on Sam's List is free, and so is a place on this list. Some firms pay to be featured elsewhere on Sam's List, Doug Johnson CPA and Iota Finance among those on this list, and that has no effect on who appears here, in what order or what we write about them. For more on reviews, see the reviews disclosure.
If you are choosing now, read the reviews on each profile, then compare more firms by category: accountants, fractional CFOs and financial advisors, or the whole directory.
